Battleground, WA, USA

Lovely to meet you! I am a twenty-year-old, primarily studio artist currently pursuing two degrees in Fine Arts and Equine Science. I am currently living in Fulton, MO, attending William Woods University. I am originally from Battleground, WA.
I was raised in the barn caring for horses, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, goats and all the more standard house pets. I believe my background with horses to be the largest impact and inspiration for my art. In my free time (if I’m not already painting), I enjoy riding my horses, reading, rock climbing, and any kind of adventure that gets my blood pumping.
The true constant among my different works and creative endeavors is an intense, almost irrational focus on lighting. Growing up in a heavily forested area within the Pacific Northwest, light falling through leaf canopy was one of my earliest fascinations. It sparked an interest in me that has fueled my artistic progression. If ever I am feeling burnt out, the most effective cure is a hike through the woods!
