Oil Paint

The Challenge of Oils

Oil paints are my most current and consistent challenge. I started my practice with this medium during my freshman year of college and am still learning with every piece. When working with oils, I focus on color and light theory. They also allow me to utilize dark backgrounds for capturing intense lighting.

I primarily use Gamblin Oil Colors for their studio safety, and Tusc & Pine for their vibrancy.
